Prayers and Squares
In addition to our regular prayer ministry, Greensburg First also has a prayer quilt ministry that provides support for those in need.
Prayers and Squares is a non-profit, non denominational support group raising the awareness of prayer for those in need of prayer. Quilts will be in the chapel as requests become known. The congregation may offer a prayer and tie a knot as they feel the need. After completion the quilt will be given to the recipient. Request forms are in a folder that has been placed in the Prayer Room. Forms will be picked up after the Sunday service.
Remember the Prayers & Squares motto: “It’s not about the quilt; it’s all about the prayers.”
The purpose of the ministry is to promote an active prayer life among the participants. Ask if the person who is receiving the quilt accept your gift of prayer, what they would like you to pray for and ask what information about their situation may be shared with others. We do not accept payment for a prayer quilt; it is a gift of love and prayer which cannot be bought or sold.
Quilters and knitters meet the second Friday of each month at 10:00 am in the lounge for food, fun and lessons.
